My PC (Linux Mint) sits right next to my CR10 and I'd like to be able to send files directly to it rather than load the SD card in to the PC, save the file, unplug the SD card, plug it into the CR10 control box, etc etc.

So..how do I connect the CR10 to the PC so I can send files? I don't want to go the route of Octoprint (maybe eventually), I just want to be able to send gcode files to the printer.

Creality 3d slicer You can’t open it. Creality CR-6 SE 3D Printer. On sale from $ 399 USD. CR 10 MAX 3D Printer. Regular price $ 999 USD Sale price $ 952 USD. I recently purchase a CR-10 V3 & BL Touch based on the recommendations of other people. I was very frustrated tying to find the BL Touch firmware that goes with this model. Ended up using the firmware for the V2 model. I certainly hope this was correct. My question is what profile do I use in the CURA slicer; there is NOT one for CR-10 V3. CR-10 Mini Source Code + SD Files. Creality laser software file and install tutorial 2019-09-05. Windows slice version 2019-09-05. Home CR Series CR-6 SE 3D Printer CR-6 SE 3D Printer Get access to Creality first leveling-free 3d printer CR-6 SE, over $4.3 Million Funds & 10K Backers Supported in Kickstarter.
I have a USB cable plugged into the CR10 and into a USB hub from my PC but the PC doesn't see the printer. I don't know what to do in Cura to make it recognize the printer- it lists the printer as the default from when I set up Cura but says it's not connected. The CR10 'manual' doesn't say one word about the USB port on the CR10 control box. So..how do I connect the CR10 to the PC so I can send files? ok i think i found whats happening : your nozzle is a little bit blocked and don't extrude the correct diameter for your settings. Capture screenshot in macbook. it dont affect plane straight lines or big circles, but when it turns very quick the material won't stick.
3 solutions :
a) in your slicer adjust line widht t the real width of your filament extruded .. to do so :
put your head high overs the bed, fan off, help extrude a little bit and wait for the filament to do a ligne of 10 cm / 4 inches approx. when cold use a gauge or a caliper to mesure it : it shoud be round an about 0,4 mm but yours i probably 0.3. if its round adjust the line width in your slicer
b) use the little tool (like a pin) sold with your printer and put it in the nozzle when its hot (be carreful : ITS DAMN HOT and it will heat the pin fast !!!!!!! i will be not responsible for any injuries) then extrude 10 cm of plastic and verify with the a) method.
c) change your nozzle (it must be HOT to do so ! and be carefull again !!!! i ll be still ot responsable of your burns.. nor the less any way :) )
